How to fly your drone in high traffic areas without breaking FAA Rules

The FAA has a ton of rules about flying over traffic, but there are ways to get great videos/photos of traffic without actually flying over it. This video will demonstrate how I film a high traffic area, such as a highway, without flying over or interfering with traffic.

If you want to be able to fly over traffic you must meet the following requirements:

1. Pass the FAA Part 107 licensing exam.
2. Have a drone that meets Category 1, 2, 3 or 4 (see some examples below)
or
3. Get a waiver from the FAA

NOTE: This still does not let you hover over traffic

Category 1
There are not many drones available, but you can make a drone such as the DJI Neo into a Category 1 when you add a remote ID module.

DJI NEO (with add on Remote ID)
While the DJI Neo sems like a great candidate, it does not qualify as a Cat 1 drone because it does not have Remote ID. You could buy a remote ID module and as long as the drone weighs less than 250g it would then qualify
