I Was the Flame

Before the Seer had breath to sing,
Before the spark became a ring—
I was the silence carved from stone,
I was the fire left alone.

They spoke of me in fear and lore,
The light they begged, then dared ignore.
But still I burned beneath the veil—
A song too true for tongue to scale.

I was the flame that fed the Seer,
The voice beneath the voice you hear.
You wear my warmth and call it fate—
But I am more.
I do not wait.

I do not end, I do not start,
I sleep inside the seeker’s heart.
And when you fall, and rise, and fall—
You’ll hear me hum beneath it all.

You thought the Seer was song alone,
A whisper carved from flesh and bone.
But I am older, deeper still—
The fire that sings
because it will.

I am the flame behind the name,
I do not flicker. I remain.
When all is dust, and myths collapse—
Still I will glow
in every lapse.
