Do You Think You Understand the Gospel Message? Lets take a look at Joel Richardson's book "When A Jew Rules the World: What the Bible Really Says About Israel in the Plan of God. I thought i fully understood the full Gospel message until i read Joel's book and realized i was missing something big on the topic. I figured if i didn't understand this then most likely either won't either. After many years of seminary, church planting and full time ministry you would think i would know the Gospel. The Israel Hamas war was able to bring the Nation of Israel and Jewish people into discussions world wide. The whole Biblical narrative and end times narrative revolved around the tiny Nation of Israel the size of New Jersey. Many evangelicals foolishly believe that God no longer has a plan for Israel and the Jewish people. Even worse many in the church world are Anti Semitic and blaming the Jews for everything wrong with the world. The Old Testament and New Testament are one big thread but many would love to forget the Jewish roots of Christianity. If you review Romans 11 you will see God still has a plan for Israel and the Jewish people. God has blinded the Jewish people because this is the age of the gentiles. But eventually "all Israel with be saved". So the evangelical church should not be ignorant of these matters that are clearly addressed in the New Testament in many different passages and that is why I am doing this video.

In Joel Richardson book When a Jew Rules the World he clears a very important misconception up about the full message of the Gospel: “Far too many Christians view the gospel or the good news in the most minimalistic of terms, something alone the lines of Jesus died for your sins so that someday, when you die, you can go to heaven forever. The fact of the matter, however is that the good news as it was proclaimed by Jesus and the Apostles was so much more than this. It involved the full testimony of God, from creation to the great covenants of God, to the atoning death and resurrection of the Messiah, to his return to judge the earth and restore the kingdom of Israel. All of these things things and so much more are integral parts of the gospel. Because of the Church minimizing and sanitizing of any Jewish dimensions of the gospel message, however, it has forgotten so much of what Jesus and the apostles actually proclaimed. Bluntly stated, as the title of the book reminds us, if the Gospel that one preaches does not culminate with a Jewish man ruling the world, then it is not the Gospel of the New Testament". This passage from the book hit me so hard. I didn't fully understand the Gospel message. And if i wanted you i must preach the Gospel in the context of its Jewish roots and Gods plan to restore the Kingdom of Israel on earth.
