Peeps Sunflower Cake
From Taste of Home annual recipes 2009
1 package of yellow cake mix
2 cans of chocolate frosting
19 yellow chick peeps candies
1 ½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Prepare cake mix according to directions using 2 greased and waxed paper lined 9 inch round baking pans. Cool for 10 minutes before removing from the pans to wire racks to cool completely; carefully remove the wax paper.
Level off the tops of the cakes. Spread frosting between the layers of the cakes and over the top and sides of the cake.
With out separating the Peeps and curving them slightly to fit, arrange the chicks around the edge of the cake for sunflower petals. For sunflower seeds, arrange chocolate chips in the center of the cake. Yield 12 servings
