Pontius Pilate: The Man Who Killed Christ?

Throughout history, Pontius Pilate has been portrayed as a weak ruler, the man who allowed Jesus Christ to be crucified at the demand of unruly crowds and Jewish leaders. This documentary portrays a very different Pilate who had his own motives for allowing Jesus' fate. He was later recalled to Rome for his harsh treatment of the Jews. Historians place much more of the blame on Roman leadership.
