Today April 13, 2025 at 3:00 on Elephant In The Room, JJ Humphrey and Bobby Cleveland will be discussing the recent firing of Forestry Director Mark Goeller. Governor Stitt claimed the Director was responsible for damages caused by fires and high winds. It appears the truth is that Mark moved equipment in advance to protect Oklahomans and their property. It would seem much more damage would have occurred if it were not for Mark’s strategic planning. The Governor claimed Forestry had a 75 million budget and that he was shutting down Forestry. Governor Stitt claimed he would take 50 of the 75 million and give to rural fire departments. Forestry actually receives 12.5 from the state and rural fire departments are allocated 11.5. The Governor was false and incredibly misleading with his budget figures. Interesting enough, the Governor came out a few days later saying he loved Forestry then fired the second in command. What’s up with the Governor? JJ and Bob will provide examples of gross mismanagement in many of Governor Stitts agency administrators. Why does Governor Stitt support corrupt incompetent administrators and fire honest responsible administrators? Should be an interesting conversation!
