Death Stranding is an action-adventure game developed by Kojima Productions and directed by Hideo Kojima. Set in a post-apocalyptic United States, the game follows Sam Porter Bridges, a courier tasked with reconnecting isolated cities and settlements after a cataclysmic event known as the "Death Stranding."

This event blurred the line between life and death, causing ghostly creatures called BTs to roam the land and making traditional travel extremely dangerous. Sam carries cargo across treacherous terrain, fending off both supernatural threats and human enemies while building connections between survivors.

The narrative explores themes of isolation, connection, and the impact of technology on human relationships, with a cast of characters that includes mysterious figures like Fragile, Deadman, Mama, and Higgs.

The game blends walking simulator mechanics with survival, stealth, and asynchronous multiplayer elements, encouraging players to collaborate indirectly by building structures and leaving helpful messages for one another. With a haunting atmosphere and philosophical undertones, Death Stranding is as much an experience as it is a game, challenging conventional ideas of what gameplay and storytelling can be.
