GOOD Hold for A Minecraft Movie | Lessons Hollywood Could Learn from This

A Minecraft Movie had a decent hold at the box office over its second weekend, putting its global total at over $550 million dollars.

The latest video game adaptation staring Jason Momoa and Jack Black has already reached the profitable territory for the studio, but the question is whether or not it will have the momentum to hit the billion dollar mark, and what Hollywood will learn. Part of the success of A Minecraft Movie has to deal with the large fanbase of the game, but simply adapting an IP with a large fanbase isn’t enough as we’ve seen with Marvel and Star Wars. Minecraft has shown us that the filmmakers has to make something for the fans as well, but doing that is not necessarily an easy thing for Hollywood.
