My Japanese Video Game Collection 139 Final Fantasy 9

As of yesterday, It was my birthday and now I'am another year older. But none of you are here to wish me a happy belated birthday are you?

Anyway here is Final Fantasy 9. The year is 2000 and people all over the world (or some people) are playing the Playstation 2 because this game came out 4 months after the playstation 2 came out.

Despite the fact that this game came out in the late Playstation one era the game itself looks quite amazing. It has better graphics and better improvement over Final Fantasy 7. The game goes back to it's roots where it is set in a fantasy world instead of a modern world.

You play as Zadine who is a theif on a quest to kidnap Princess Garnet (Who later changes her name to Dagger.) and bring her to a neighboring kingdom to stop an evil queen who started a war.

You also meet a variety of characters including a Knight, Black Mage, Rat-Looking Lady, A little girl with a horn on her forehead, a rooster looking guy, and god knows what she is?

You gain spells and abilities by equipping weapons and armor.

The game is very simple and easy to play. The FMV is outstanding, and the story is fantastic. It's been 21 years since I played this game. I should get back into it.

Like I said this game came out in 2000 and despite the fact the Playstation 2 came out. This game goes to show you that the Playstation 1 is not done yet and it can still pump out more good games.
