WHAT IS REPENTANCE?
“Repentance is not asking the Lord for forgiveness with intent to sin again. Repentance is an honest, regretful acknowledgement of sin with commitment to change. Repentance leads us to cultivate godliness while eradicating habits that lead into sin.”

Romans 2:5
Says “ But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of God’s wrath, when His righteous judgement will be revealed”

Grace sits on the throne of repentance, here’s why!

In Luke 16: 19-30 it talks about a rich man going to hell and the beggar going to Abraham’s bosom in Heaven. In Luke 16: 22-30 it states that the rich man in hell look up (you can see) and saw Lazarus and father Abraham and said to father Abraham please send Lazarus to my brothers for I have five brothers so that he may warn them, so that they will not also come to this place of torment (you can feel). But Abraham said, ‘They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them. And the rich man said no, father Abraham but if someone goes to them from the dead, they will Repent. Now we know why the rich man died and went to hell and what his brothers must do to be saved. THEY MUST REPENT.
Repentance is not asking the Lord for forgiveness with intent to sin again. (Which is called habitual sinning).

Repentance is an honest, regretful acknowledgement of sin with commitment to change from the renewing of the mind for conversion. Repentance leads us to cultivate godliness while eradicating habits that lead into sin. Many people believe in OSAS (Once Saved Always Saved). They believe that they are exempt from sinning because Jesus died and shedded His blood on the cross for all of our sins. He did die for our sins so that we could be forgiven and saved. But if you think that the kingdom of God is full of sinners who continued to sin until their death and had not repented before their spirit left their body, you are wrong and have been tricked by the devil who is trying to take you into damnation. In Romans 6: 1 it says: Well then, should we keep on sinning so that God can show us more and more of his wonderful grace? Of course not! Since we have died to sin, how can we continue to live in it? The real reason why most people believe in OSAS philosophy is so they can continue to sin without the threat of judgement from God, even though the Holy Spirit convict them right after they sin.
That blindness can only happen when they are comfortable with there sin. When there has been no conversion, no renewing in a persons mind and spirit. Under those circumstances It is obvious that sin has built a home in that persons heart.

In Hebrews 6: 4-8
It says: For it is impossible, in the case of those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, (grace) and have shared in the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the age to come, and then have fallen away, (return to sin) to restore them again to repentance, since they are crucifying once again the Son of God to their own harm and holding him up to contempt. For land that has drunk the rain that often falls on it, and produces a crop useful to those for whose sake it is cultivated, receives a blessing from God. But if it bears thorns and thistles, (sin) it is worthless and near to being cursed, and it’s end is to be burned.”

God has put into each one of us His true nature from the Holy Spirit of what’s right and what’s wrong (it’s called the moral law). To guide us into all truth and righteousness. The abuse of God’s grace that He has given us will be a witness to our misplaced beliefs that we could live a continuous sinful life of inequity without judgement for sins. Grace cannot be used to erase the moral standards of God and endorse habitual sinning. If grace covered continuing sinning after we know better, why did Jesus die for our sins in the first place. So we can now live in fornication, drunkenness, adultery, and all kinds of wickedness partaking in the devils playground, NO!!! If grace covers all sin forever, then why does it say in Acts 3:19 “Repent then, and turn to God so that your sin’s may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord”.

Why do you have a refreshing from the Lord? Because you now have a clean heart from repentance and not a dirty uncircumcised heart from sin. 1 John 3: 9-10 says “No one born of God make a practice of sinning, for God’s seed abides in him, and he cannot keep on sinning
because he has been renewed by the spirit of the Lord.
By this it is evident who are children of God and who are the children of the devil”
Roman 6: 15 -17 says: Well then, since God’s grace has set us free from the law, does that mean we can go on sinning?

Of course not! Don't you realize that you become the slave of whatever you choose to obey? You can be a slave to sin, which leads to death, or you can choose to obey God, which leads to righteous living.
Grace cannot be used like a get out of hell free card that one turns in over and over to continue sinning without payment due on judgement day. Grace is a free gift from God but if you molded into a golden calf of habitual sinning to suit your life style, you have given it away because God cannot be mocked. In order to be saved you must follow Jesus and not try to lead Him so He can become your Lord first then your Savior. When Jesus becomes your Lord first you will dwell on not sinning everyday of your life and if you do you will be forgiven if you repent from the heart and ask Jesus to forgive you.
