John Carpay is an accomplished lawyer with a BA from Lavelle University (1989) and an LLB from the University of Calgary (1998). He has a distinguished academic record, having won gold and silver medals in the University of Calgary Model Parliament. Carpay began his career as a litigator with a boutique firm and has since been involved in numerous high-profile cases related to freedom of speech and civil liberties. He is the author of 'Corrupted by Fear: How the Charter Was Betrayed and What Canadians Can Do About It', demonstrating his commitment to constitutional rights and freedoms. Carpay's expertise in legal matters concerning children's safety and parental rights makes him a valuable witness for the National Citizens Inquiry.
