A Holy Week

Are you enjoying your Easter Week? I call it Holy Week. I love this time of year because I like to reflect on what Jesus did and said during Holy Week. His Words are so powerful and it was His last week on earth before His crucifixion where He died our death so we could live His life.

We all have a life story, we have that in common and we all also have something else in common… we were made in the Image of God. The thing we don’t have in common is our forever. That is our choice. We choose to have a forever by believing in Jesus, giving our lives to Him. Jesus, the One Who did finish well for us. Easter Week was a time where Jesus was pretty much saying goodbye to His disciples and preparing them for what was ahead. I don’t think that they had a clue. Kind of like us, sometimes we are clueless to what God is doing.

Holy Week Does have its uniqueness in that Jesus shared so much truth. He loved truth, our Savior and He loved sharing it, even if it stirred things up with people who did not believe in His way, truth and life. Jesus never backed down from Truth, He was a person of the fullness of Truth and I love that about Him. It is the one thing that I hope to be when I think of being like Him, being a person of total truth.

Everyday God gives us on this earth is a good day and this week, the culmination of it, Good Friday, was not such a good day for Jesus, but for us it was. He came here, Jesus, Our Messiah to die for us, He paid our debt sin, so we could live. I am sure Jesus did not want to humble Himself in the way He did, but He chose to. He made that choice to finish well. This week is the story of our future and our hope and our forever with Jesus.

Holy Week ended so well, it was the greatest transformation ever known to mankind… death to life. So spend some time with Jesus this week! Remember, Reflect and think on all He did for us.
