The Green Miyamoto | Super Mario's OTHER Creator

Shigeru Miyamoto made Super Mario Bros. and other greats like The Legend of Zelda, but… by chance is there someone else that we’ve overlooked? I sure think so... If Luigi is the green Mario, then who's the green Miyamoto?

Ok, so Mario and Luigi have this relationship where they both have similar skill-sets and capabilities. Luigi even outperforms Mario in a few key areas, such as, how high he can jump. Yet, Mario is the one dubbed "Jump Man", Not Luigi. Mario is the center of Nintendo's universe and Luigi... is not. Even. Close. Probably Pikachu, Donkey Kong, Kirby and Link all have greater fame than 2nd tier game celebrity Luigi, commonly referred to as the Green Mario. However, if the developers went with a greener hue for Player 1 in 1985, we'd likely behaving a very different conversation today.

This should not diminish the contributions and incredible things Shigeru Miyamoto has done for video games. That man is a legend and will go down in history as the greatest game maker ever. But allow me to elevate a new person who you may not have heard of. His name is: Takashi Tezuka (手塚 卓志). Watch and learn.
