The Rant -Secret Meetings?

The Constitutional Republic relies on transparency and accountability, with elected representatives voicing concerns and shaping policy in the open. However, secret congressional meetings allegedly to undermine national policies raise ethical and political concerns. Sedition, defined in US law, involves conspiring to overthrow, put down, or destroy the government, or to levy war against them, or oppose by force. It requires the use of force or violence, or the explicit intent to incite such action. To successfully prosecute members of Congress for sedition, the government would need to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the members conspired to use force or violence to overthrow the government or prevent the execution of laws. Even if secret meetings don't rise to the level of sedition, they still raise significant ethical and political concerns about transparency, accountability, and the integrity of the democratic process. The question is whether such actions are morally justifiable and conducive to a healthy Constitutional Republic, and whether the public should hold elected officials accountable for their actions both in the open and behind closed doors.
