Complete Recipe: Shawarma Bread Rolls

Ingredients:

For Dough:

Maida (All-purpose flour) – 2 cups

Instant yeast – 1 tbsp

Sugar – 1 tsp

Salt – 1/2 tsp

Lukewarm milk –1cup

Lukewarm water – ¼ cup (as needed)

Oil – 3 tbsp

For Filling:

chicken – 250gm boneless

Mayonnaise – 1 tbsp

Ketchup – 1 tbsp

Chili garlic sauce – 1 tbsp

Salt – to taste

Crushed red chili – ½ tsp

Black pepper – ½ tsp

Garlic, ginger paste– 1tsp

Mozzarella/cheddar cheese – ½ cup (optional but recommended)

Topping:

1 Egg (for brushing)

Sesame seeds, black seeds, red chili flakes – for garnish

Method:

1. Make the Dough:

Mix warm milk, water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 10 minutes.

Add flour, salt, and oil. Mix and knead until soft and smooth.

Cover and let rise for 1–1.5 hours in a warm place.

2. Prepare the Filling:

Mix chicken, chili garlic sauce, spices, and yogurt .

Set aside.

Merinate for 15,30minutes.

Cook the merinated chicken.

Add Onion , mayunise,milk and katchup.

3. Assemble Rolls:

Roll the dough into a rectangle.

Spread the filling evenly.

Roll like a swiss roll and cut into 1.5-inch rolls.

Place on tray with gaps.

4. Final Touch:

Brush with egg, sprinkle sesame seeds, black seeds, chili flakes.

5. Bake:cook

preheated a pan and cook/bake roll 35 mins or until golden brown colour.

Serve with spicy mayo or garlic dip.
