Mr. Terry L. Smith (Owner of Washington's & Smith's Paradise Funeral Home) is the eleventh child of fourteen, and was born and raised in Shreveport, Louisiana’s Cooper Road/MLK neighborhood. He’s the son of Deacon Eugene Smith of Belcher, Louisiana and Willie Mae (Priss) Washington-Smith (Deceased) of Oil City, Louisiana, in which the funeral home got its name, “Washington’s and Smith’s Paradise Funeral Homes.” His early education included Newton Smith Elementary, Linear Jr. High School, and Green Oaks High School. After graduating from high school in 1990, he enlisted in the United States Air Force as a Security Policeman and Medical Technician.
