Leviticus 16 - The Day of Atonement

This was one day during the year that the High Priest would offer atonement for the sins of Israel, the one day a year that the High priest could enter the Holy of Holies.

This chapter describes the events for the sacrifices that would atone for the sins of the High Priest and the people of Israel. It's a unique time of year to be talking about this, during Holy Week, when Christ was crucified for our sins.
