Introducing Vietnam’s Johnny Somali: Fat and Broke 🇻🇳

In this video, I sit down with one of my clients to take a closer look at Fat and Broke, a controversial streamer. Some are calling the Johnny Somali of Vietnam. Through his own footage, we watch him harassing locals, yelling at workers, and even participating in lewd acts with bargirls on livestream—despite being married. He also bizarrely claims he “runs the block” while causing chaos in the streets.

This isn’t a hit piece—just an honest conversation about his behavior and how it serves as a cautionary tale for expats. While his actions are disrespectful and outrageous, they also come off as the behavior of someone deeply angry and unhappy.

It’s also embarrassing that he represents the U.S. abroad. As Americans, we should aim to be good guests in our host countries—just like we expect others to be respectful visitors in ours. This kind of behavior damages reputations, creates division, and makes life harder for those of us trying to live abroad with integrity.
