City of Mackinac Island files countersuit

The City of Mackinac Island has filed a countersuit against two ferry companies asserting its rights to regulate fees for parking and fares. The suit also claims that common ownership by the Hoffmann Family is a monopoly and eliminated competition. The company owns both Shepler’s and the Arnold Transit Company formally Star Line.
