~ A New Earth ~
(…for a little grasshopper)

A Million hearts trip in time
No ordinary senses required
Responding as a rhythmical intent
to usher out an age expired.
Beating blood, breathing life
Immune to sirens call.
Facing darkness’ zenith,
Holding fast and waiting to fall.

Dormant seeds stirred by
Pulsing rains of Spring,
Cocooned and blind yet
hearken as birds sing
Instinctively as frequency speaks,
no barrier between
The Quickening Spirit guides
and growth responds to sureties unseen.

Faith & fellowship root us steadfast.
We push toward light, Love unbound…
Secured by the everlasting covenant to which,
like vines, we wind our hearts and minds around.
A promise made, a promise kept,
Comfort and Mercy, our true worth.
We wonder… and shadows recede to reveal
A new Heaven and a new Earth.
