Leviticus 17

Sacrifices had one place, the tabernacle.

If you want to sacrifice and eat of it, take it to the tabernacle as a peace offering to God. This also provided for the priests.

Eating blood and sacrificing to false gods was forbidden. Your sins would not be atoned by that, but you'd have more guilt upon yourself.
