Most UK Gen-Z women would prefer not to take their spouse's last name, according to research from YouGov. Many young women are instead opting to keep their own last or creating a double-barrelled surname, at a rate significantly lower than the much older generations. More than half of Gen-Z men on the other hand would still prefer their spouse take their last name, largely in line with their elders
