Gameplay Part 2

Earth is burning. The Reapers have taken over, and other civilizations are falling like dominoes. Lead the final fight to save humanity and take back Earth from these terrifying machines, Commander Shepard. You’ll need backup for these battles. Fortunately, the galaxy has a habit of sending unexpected species your way. Recruit team members and forge new alliances, but be prepared to say goodbye at any time as partners make the ultimate sacrifice. It’s time for Commander Shepard to fight for the fate of the human race and save the galaxy.

In this playthrough we cover:

Act 2:
With the Council unwilling to band together in support of building the Prothean Device, Shepard decides to bypass them and appeal directly to their military leadership. Their first lead is to attend a War Summit between the major races, where a 1,500 year old rivalry is about to be put to the test.

Priority: Palaven:
Shepard travels to Menae, a moon of Palaven, to locate the Turian Primarch. Upon arrival, Shepard assists in defending the Turian base against Reaper forces, including repairing a comm tower and holding strategic points. He is reunited with Garrus and recruits him to join the squad. After learning that the current Primarch has been killed, Shepard finds General Adrien Victus, who reluctantly accepts the role of Primarch. Victus agrees to attend the war summit but insists on Krogan support, setting the stage for future diplomatic efforts. ​

EDI is Offline:
Following the events on Menae, Shepard returns to the Normandy to find EDI unresponsive. Investigating the AI Core reveals that EDI is integrating the Cerberus synthetic body recovered from Mars. After a period of inactivity, EDI reactivates, now inhabiting the synthetic body, enhancing her capabilities and allowing her to join missions as a squad member. This development also deepens her relationship with Joker, the Normandy's pilot. ​

Citadel Excursion 1:
Shepard revisits the Citadel to advance diplomatic efforts and manage various tasks. This visit includes meeting with the Turian Councilor to discuss the war summit, interacting with crew members like Garrus and Liara, Joker, and EDI. Shepard can also engage in side missions, gather War Assets, and explore the Citadel's shops and facilities to prepare for upcoming challenges. ​This visit is mostly about unlocking side quests and DLC missions.

Leviathan DLC: Dr. Bryson's Lab:
After receiving a message from Admiral Hackett, Shepard visits Dr. Bryson's lab on the Citadel to investigate a new Reaper-related threat. Dr. Bryson reveals information about a mysterious entity known as Leviathan, which may hold the key to defeating the Reapers. The investigation leads Shepard to uncover clues about Leviathan's origins and its potential role in the galaxy's history, setting off a series of missions to locate and understand this enigmatic being.
