Juliette Marie Acosta, a 26-year-old woman from Oakdale, California, is accused of leaving her 4-year-old daughter to die in a suspected DUI crash in Stanislaus County. Acosta had a blood alcohol content of 0.15%, well above the legal limit, and the crash resulted in the vehicle being submerged.
