Combat Training Tip: Mag Placement

Placement of magazines on your kit can make or break your setup.
First priority needs to be facilitating a fast “Speed Reload.”
Rather than pulling different mags as needed; develop the habit of always conducting a “Speed Reload” from the same pouch. This, as you develop muscle memory, will increase speed and smoothness of the reload.
At your next opportunity or pregnant pause in the gunfight, ensure you refill that designated “Speed Reload” pouch.
Next, priority should be to setup your kit so that you can move quickly. Try to keep the front as slick as possible so that you can go prone. Try to balance your kit, mags on both sides, do that it rides level & balanced.
Note that certain units with certain missions require special equipment, such as flashbangs or firing systems, and these will often require key realestate on the front of your kit where you can reach them.
I hope you enjoy the video.
