An Illinois woman whose head was internally decapitated

An Illinois woman whose head was internally decapitated in a freak accident beat all the odds when it was successfully reattached.

@thetravelinghaloofhope Megan King, now 35, was just 16 when she fell to the ground trying to jump and catch a soccer ball during her high school gym class — an incident that led to a diagnosis of a connective tissue disorder and multiple surgeries.

While getting a halo brace fitted to stabilize her neck, she suffered internal decapitation when a doctor removed the brace, telling the Daily Mail she had to fly back in her chair ‘to keep gravity from decapitating me’.
