Thanks to the miracle of dual citizenship, Tom Mason toils in the glittering spotlight of North American show business where he often works with animation, puppets and live actors, and for producers from Australia to Iceland to France and other places he can’t find on a map.
​When he’s not soaking up his share of fringe glitz, Tom dabbles in the arcane world of book publishing where he’s co-written more than 70 books for Simon & Schuster, Random House, Scholastic, and Little, Brown & Company. He is the co-author of the 24-book series of Captain Awesome books (under the name “Stan Kirby”).
In a past life, he was the co-founder and marketing VP for Malibu Comics where he was known to write and edit the occasional comic book and graphic novel. He has met the late Charles Nelson Reilly, Mark Hamill and the voice of Mulan, Ming-Na Wen. And he's had dinner with Stan Lee and played horseshoes with Ted Lange (from “The Love Boat”) and Richard Roundtree (“I’m talkin’ ‘bout Shaft!”).
​He eats too much and drinks too little, and takes blood pressure medication like they were M&Ms.
