Slovak PM: “Zelensky Doesn’t Benefit from Ending the War”

Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico has sparked headlines by accusing Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky of having no interest in ending the war, claiming the ongoing conflict serves his political and financial interests.

“I know I’m speaking bluntly,” Fico said. “But this is expedient—he continues to receive significant financial aid from certain countries.”

The remark reflects growing skepticism among some European leaders about Kyiv’s long-term intentions and the sustainability of Western support.
