The frequency of a pendulum—how often it swings back and forth—depends on its length and gravity.

Specifically, the longer the pendulum, the slower it swings.

For small angles, the mass and swing size don’t matter.

The formula for frequency is: frequency equals 1 divided by 2π times the square root of (gravity divided by length).

This means a longer pendulum has a lower frequency, while a shorter one swings faster.
