Shining Force 2 playthrough part 8

Talk about being unprepared...

The "Chess Battle" will really show you how underprepared you are.

NORMALLY, you would have a team of promoted characters and leveled them to over 10 at this point but since I wanted to put the promotions on hold until they all reach level 40, I'm basically doing this the VERY HARD way.

I should've grinded some more off camera and leveled my unpromoted characters to at least above level 25 before even going through this portion of the game.

The hard part here will be the supplies since there's no shops to buy the usual healing supplies from and you still only have one healer when you should have 2 to cover the basics.

Which was the reason I chose Karna.

Don't worry about the other 3, the other 3 will join you anyway if you choose to backtrack (another feature the first game didn't have) and return to Creed's Mansion.

That said, I really shouldn't have tried playing this type of game so close to midnight. My drowsiness kicked in and it was dialed up to 11 during the "Chess Battle" and I almost made a horrible oopsie near the end of the recording.

Luckily, my habit of saving often really helped me out at the end.

Yeah, I won't be playing this type of game so close to midnight again.
