📖 "Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; He has risen!" – Luke 24:5-6
The Resurrection of Jesus | Luke 24 | Bible Reading & Reflection
Welcome back my lovely Faith Seekers!
Join us for a powerful reading of Luke 24, the awe-inspiring account of Jesus' resurrection. This chapter reveals the moment that changed history—the empty tomb, the angelic message, and Jesus walking alongside His disciples on the road to Emmaus. Experience the wonder, the hope, and the victory that comes with the risen Savior.
Luke 24 begins with the most astonishing moment in history: the tomb is empty. The women come to anoint Jesus’ body, only to be told, “He is not here; He has risen.”
This moment challenges us to believe not just in what we can see, but in what God has promised—even when it defies logic or expectation. Faith in Luke 24 is about trusting that God keeps His word, even when everything seems lost.
Jesus’ resurrection confirms that God is not silent in our pain or absent in death. He is active, victorious, and faithful. Our faith is built not on an idea, but on a living Savior who overcame the grave.
Later in the chapter, Jesus appears to two disciples on the road to Emmaus. Their hearts burn as He explains the Scriptures, and their eyes are opened when He breaks bread with them. Immediately, they rush back to Jerusalem to tell the others.
This shows that encountering the risen Jesus gives life new direction. His resurrection is not just something to admire—it’s something to live out and share. Just like the disciples, we are called to be witnesses: to carry hope, truth, and love into the world.
Luke 24 ends with Jesus commissioning His followers and ascending into heaven. That final moment is a handoff—He's saying: “Now, go. The story continues with you.”
Luke 24 is the ultimate confirmation of Jesus’ identity. He isn't just a teacher or prophet. His resurrection proves that He is the Son of God, the Messiah, and the Savior.
Believing in Jesus means more than agreeing with a story—it means trusting in a risen King who has defeated sin and death. It means surrendering our old selves and stepping into the new life He offers.
For anyone struggling with doubt, like the disciples were, Luke 24 shows that Jesus meets us in our confusion, reveals truth, and invites us to believe—not blindly, but with hearts that are awakened by His presence.
Faith is trusting that Jesus is alive and that God’s promises are true.
Purpose is living as a witness to the resurrection—sharing His light in a dark world.
Belief in Jesus transforms everything. It turns despair into hope, death into life, and fear into mission.
Luke 24 isn’t just the end of a story—it’s the beginning of a new life, available to all who believe.
