Another perfect example of Post Hoc Backfill is the concept of Immune Amnesia. This will be discussed further in the Antibody Episode.

Immune Amnesia: A phenomenon where the immune system loses its memory of past encounters with pathogens, effectively erasing the body's ability to recognize and fight off previously encountered infections.

As we can see, this is a made up story we tell because our real world observations (True Empiricism) contradict our germ theory and Immune system theory. What a true empiricist would call a falsification, or a contradiction, the modern scientist creates a new condition to make it fit the consensus.
