He Got Up!

"He Got Up!" powerfully captures the essence of Jesus' resurrection, emphasizing its significance for believers. At the heart of the message is the identity of Jesus as the Word, as declared in John 1:1-4, 14. Jesus existed from the beginning, was with God, and was God. All things were made through Him, and in Him is life—the light of men. When the Word became flesh, Jesus entered the world, full of grace and truth, showing us the glory of the Father. This reveals that Jesus wasn’t just a man, but God incarnate, who came to dwell among us.

The crucifixion is deeply significant because, as stated in Hebrews 10:14, by one offering—His death—Jesus perfected forever those who are being sanctified. This single act of love brought peace, as promised in Isaiah 26:3, to those who trust in God. Through His resurrection, He offers hope, love, and purpose to all. James 1:17 reminds us that every perfect gift comes from above, and Jesus’ sacrifice is the greatest gift.

In rising from the dead, Jesus demonstrated perfect love, which casts out all fear (1 John 4:18), and His power is made perfect even in our weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). He ascended in majesty, as described in Psalm 18:10, and continues to work in our lives. As Psalm 138:8 assures us, the Lord will fulfill His purpose for us, rooted in His enduring love. Because He got up, we have life, peace, purpose, and eternal hope.
