The canonisation of Carlo Acutis, a British-Italian teen and the first millennial set to become a saint, has been postponed following the Pope’s death.

Carlo died of leukemia in 2006 after creating a website documenting over 100 Eucharistic miracles. He was declared ‘blessed’ in 2020 after a Brazilian child with a rare pancreatic disease recovered after touching his shirt—a recognised miracle paving the way to sainthood.

His canonisation, which was originally set for next Sunday, is now delayed. His body remains on display at a church in Assisi.
