At the Panopticon, CJ finds Catalina once again—but this time she’s with a new man: Claude, the silent protagonist from GTA III. Catalina rants and smashes CJ’s car with a crowbar, accusing him of betrayal, despite having called their relationship “just business.” She claims she still had feelings, but now she loves someone else. Instead of fighting over her, CJ stays cool, but Catalina forces the issue with a race. CJ, Claude, and two others speed through the countryside in Red County, finishing near Montgomery.

After losing, Catalina angrily claims Claude was not only racing but “satisfying” her. She gives CJ a deed to a garage in San Fierro, saying Claude needs his car for their trip to Liberty City. With Catalina gone for good, CJ is left with a property in a new city—marking the start of the next chapter in his journey.
