An echidna was seen struggling in the rising waters of the Macquarie River, unable to find a way out. Two friends, Tom and Blake, noticed the situation and stepped in to help. They carefully moved through the current and guided the animal to safety.
Echidnas are shy, spiny mammals native to Australia. While they can swim, they’re not built for strong currents or long distances.
This was recorded near Warren in New South Wales, Australia.
