Fixing the Weirdest Roadblocks in Pokémon

There are always a few barriers that pop up in video games, (and everybody loves a good Snorlax!) but Pokémon has a strange mix of cutoffs that make no sense, and ones that are unsatisfying due to their scripted nature. So how can fix these roadblocks by making them more in line with the Pokémon world, or at the very least giving the player more control? (Also didn't realize it was April Fool's until way too late, so enjoy a sincere video...)
