Enshrouded | I Get Lost, Stuck In A Crevasse and MURDERED BY A DOG

All I wanted was to find the location of a quest so I can upgrade my armor, but it's not so simple as going there. The way is blocked all the way around where I tried to go. On the way the first time, I'm murdered by a filthy pack of dogs which I later dispatch with ease.

I then proceed to get stuck in a hopeless falling death without dying.

Silver Lining, I've uncovered a line of map and know I can't go that way to get where I'm going. Everything else was a bust
