Woman's Fake Check Story Makes ZERO Sense

On August 7, 2024 in Florida, officers responded to a call regarding a suspected fraud at Seacoast Bank. The bank manager reported that a woman came into the bank with a check that she received from a former employer. The woman said that she had worked for the company during the pandemic, but the company disappeared without paying her. She said that a check for $9,000 had unexpectedly arrived in the mail, and she wanted to verify the check in order to cash it. This is body cam footage of the events that followed.
