Greenfield, CA - Greenfield police caught a short chase and crash of a suspect on dashcam footage.

Around noon on Monday, officers tried to stop a vehicle for a moving violation.

Twenty-one-year-old Alejandro Rodriguez Morales allegedly refused to stop and led a brief pursuit through the city.

The suspect ended up crashing into the rear gate of the police department.

Morales was arrested and taken to the booking area, per police.

He was taken to Monterey County Jail and was booked for felony evasion and resisting arrest.

Public works arrived to help repair the damaged gate.
