The latest update on Winds of Winter from George R.R. Martin is much the same. Blaming everyone but himself for the lack of progress, but this time it comes with a twist.

The series that allowed him to contribute to screenplays, video games, open bars and restaurants is apparently a curse on his life. What an ungrateful, bitter, lazy old man.
