According to the 2023 United States National Survey on Drug Use and Health 48.5 million Americans aged 12 and older battled a substance use disorder in the past year. That addiction lands a staggering number of people in the street whose lives often devolve to petty crimes and general public nuisance. The female’s body was twitching and she couldn’t even stand straight for a moment. It was quite obvious that she was tweaking but the officers were yet to find a strong probable cause as they had not witnessed her breaking in or chasing someone with a bat. The female was in no condition to be left by herself so the officers decided it was best to intervene and try to get her some help. The female wasn’t done resisting and she made sure that the officers had the toughest time carrying her into the hospital. It should be acknowledged that the first step towards recovery is accepting that you need help and the least you can do is not hinder the people trying to help you. The 22 year old female was charged with public nuisance and resisting arrest.
