The Good News | Perilous World Radio 4/23/25

Good day, esteemed listeners. Welcome to the Perilous World Radio Show. Today, we are joined by our hosts, Jan Masters and David Masters. We extend our warmest wishes to David on his birthday. Jan refers to the Bible as the “Good News,” particularly in light of the challenges we face in our contemporary world, characterized by adversity and suffering. However, there is an encouraging perspective; these trials serve a greater purpose, allowing us to cultivate a deeper appreciation for our Creator. It is essential to envision a future free from pain and suffering, where love prevails, and there is no sin or ill will—yet our consciousness will remain intact. Jan posits that through the experience of suffering, individuals often develop a sense of humility. This process enables one to cultivate a deeper appreciation for the individuals who offer their love and support.
David shares a clip from the late Roy Masters that discusses the themes of judgment and condemnation. Masters emphasizes that our perception shapes our experience of life. If our perception is clear and free from faults, our lives will be illuminated. Conversely, if our perception is tainted or evil, it darkens our existence. He warns that one cannot serve two masters; doing so leads to inner conflict, where one will either despise their conscience or embrace negativity.
The idea is that choosing to embrace darkness could lead to the loss of personal freedoms, as those who have a darkened mindset often seek to remain in ignorance. Masters suggests that when one allows fear and negative influences to dictate their identity, they become servants to those very forces. This servitude can transform a person, leading them to adopt traits of those they despise.
By hating what is evil, individuals may inadvertently become ensnared by it, as it thrives on our resentment. Masters highlights the struggle between good and evil, suggesting there are two opposing forces at play in our lives, and our choices define who we ultimately become.
