UMP Modifieds at Willow Creek

A National career race at Willow Creek Raceway on Expert difficulty. This track surface is quite choppy all the way around. Over all though, the surface is not terrible. There is plenty of maneuverability to navigate through traffic due to the very wide surface. As the night progresses the track gets very slick from the bottom to the cushion. I found it faster so far to run the low line in the corners thru the slick, just need to use throttle control. It may be quicker on the cushion, but not sure as I didn't run the top enough to get a rhythm. Come feature time my lap times fell off 0.8 seconds from my Practice times.

1 caution here just as I was preparing to begin lapping the field. Will Krup had gotten into the back of Drake Troutman, sending Troutman spinning. I did spend a decent amount of time trying different lines, just looking for some bite, but ended up not really finding anything except the top. Got into the front stretch wall once while searching on the topside and also tapped 1 lap car. Overall though the race was pretty clean.
