He was supposed to be Alan Moore's "up yours" to Steve Ditko and his objectivist philosophy a character that Moore found detestable in very possible way, and yet Wizard Magazine listed him as the 6th Best Comic Character of all time! They have, in the years since, done their best to assassinate him as a character and yet he endures as one of the favorites of most comic geeks everywhere!
