Matt Dillahunty Uses No True Scotsman Fallacy On Apostate Prophet

In this video, apologist Justin Derby responds to a recent string of tweets from prominent atheist Matt Dillahunty, where Dillahunty makes the bold and unfounded claim that the Apostate Prophet—a well-known ex-Muslim who recently converted to Christianity—was never truly an atheist. Instead, Dillahunty suggests that Apostate Prophet merely pretended to be an atheist for 12 years before "coming out" as a Christian.

Justin explains why this accusation from Dillahunty is a textbook example of the No True Scotsman Fallacy, a logical error that tries to exclude someone from a group based on shifting goalposts and unfalsifiable standards.
