The following is a report on the events that transpired in the Southeast on April 23rd, as documented in the Chronicle of the Southeast.

Following the termination of the Easter truce, Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) launched an attack on the territory of Tatarstan, a region that includes industrial facilities within the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) "Alabuga." In response, Russian air defense systems successfully intercepted and destroyed multiple UAVs. The RF Armed Forces initiated military operations in the Odessa, Kirovograd, Kiev, Cherkasy, Poltava, and Kherson regions, targeting infrastructure and enterprises, including "Poltavaoblenergo" and the "Unitech" plant.

In the direction of Sumy, Russian troops are expanding the control zone in the area of Huevo and Oleshnya, advancing along the Khodny Yar ravine, and seizing positions along the Psyol River. VSU maintain a presence in the Glubokoe tract, concealing themselves within the forests. Fighting continues in the areas of Veselovka and Lokni, where a buffer zone is being created along the border.

In the context of the military operations in the Dzerzhinsky direction, there is documented evidence of Russian military engagement in the areas of Sukhoi Balka, Dyleevka, and Leonidovka. This engagement is further substantiated by the presence of Russian troops in the vicinity of the fortification near Petrovka, as evidenced by photographic documentation. Moreover, the raising of a Russian flag in the northern sector of Sukhoi Balka serves as a symbolic indication of the military's advancement in the area. Furthermore, intelligence reports suggest the potential for the 68th tank regiment to advance along forest strips, which could be indicative of preparations for the expansion of the offensive zone.
