04/23/2025 Steve Bannon said that only 15 countries are really important in the U.S. tariff negotiations, of which the top five are in East Asia - Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Vietnam and India. The center of gravity of these deals is to establish a fair trade system with the U.S. and the CCP’s mercantilist system is over. Caroline Wren @CarolineWren said that the U.S. also needs to focus on Southeast Asia because those countries are desperate to do business with the U.S. and China is a terrible partner for them.
