He is Risen!

Easter Service 2025. Matthew 28:1-6

SUNDAY’S ON THE WAY ARE YOU STILL LIVING IN THURSDAY?

ARE YOU LIVING IN FRIDAY?

1.) Watching your dreams and Hopes die

2.) Thinking that all is lost; You’re Hopeless

ARE YOU LIVING IN SATURDAY?

1.) Helplessly living in a cold dark reality

2.) Everything is over

3.) All is lost

Matthew 28:1-6

Matthew 12:40 For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

Matthew 17:22-23 Now while they were staying in Galilee, Jesus said to them, “The Son of Man is about to be betrayed into the hands of men, and they will kill Him, and the third day He will be raised up.”

John 20:30-31 And truly Jesus did many other signs in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book; but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name.

Early on the dawn of Easter morning, His followers came to the tomb.
And they realized that Jesus wasn’t there, the tomb was empty, and in that moment, everything changed.

Because if Jesus is Risen, that means everything He ever said was true, it means He is who He said He is, it means He is the one true king.

And the same is true for us today! Whoever you are and wherever you came from, everything is different now if Jesus is Risen.

If He is Risen, that means Satan is defeated, sin is destroyed, hell has lost its power, and death is conquered.

If He is Risen, you have brothers and sisters in the house of God and a place to belong in the family of Christ.

If He is Risen, there is grace for your guilt, mercy for your misery, and strength in your weakness.

If He is Risen, there is hope for your darkest days and forgiveness for your worst mistakes, because after the rubble of Saturday comes the beauty of Sunday.

If He is Risen, so is freedom, so is healing, so is heaven, so is redemption, and so is hope.

If He is Risen, so are second chances, so are reconciled relationships, so are new beginnings.

If He is Risen, that means there is a real God who really loves you and really has the power to radically change your life.

If He is Risen, He’s the King of kings and the Lord of lords, worthy of all worship, honor, glory, and praise.

If He is Risen, we should tell the whole world about it.

And that’s exactly what we will do, because He is Risen.
