Bonobos' chatter reveals human-like language skills

Bonobos share a syntactic capacity with humans, according to a new study by researchers from the University of Zurich. The research suggested that these primates, one of humanity's closest living relatives, use compositional language, combining individual calls into complex sequences akin to forming sentences in human language.
